‘Bring War $$ Home’ demonstration draws more than 100

Peace Fresno organized a demonstration to commemorate the start of the US war against Iraq. Over 100 people showed up to protest the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. They were there to demand that the money being used for war be converted to peaceful purposes – like health care, schools, and affordable housing.

“Bring Our War $$ Home” Sat, Mar 19, 10:30 – 12 noon

Spend ONE HOUR standing with Peace Fresno at River Park on Saturday, March 19. The demonstration is from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon.

“Bring Our War $$ Home” is the theme of this demonstration. We will be on the sidewalk near Carl’s Jr. and the Macaroni Grill (N. Blackstone and E. El Paso Ave.). Our presence will remind passersby that our tax dollars, which could be used for to make life better, are being used for one of mankind’s most horrific inventions – war.
