Spend ONE HOUR standing with Peace Fresno at River Park on Saturday, March 19. The demonstration is from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon.
“Bring Our War $$ Home” is the theme of this demonstration. We will be on the sidewalk near Carl’s Jr. and the Macaroni Grill (N. Blackstone and E. El Paso Ave.). Our presence will remind passersby that our tax dollars, which could be used for to make life better, are being used for one of mankind’s most horrific inventions – war.
California tax payers spent $1.5 Billion for war spending in 2010. The cost of war to U.S. residents since 2001 is $4000 per person (babies included). Signs and banners provided; additional signs on this theme are welcome. Bring Our War $$ Home. We will be joined by Robert Greenwald’s Rethink Afghanistan action – Rethink the Cost. 408-3320 or 355-2203
